TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Terre Haute family is feeling blessed after they say they made it a full week without paper towels.
Last week, Chris and Ami Essex said they forgot to buy paper towels when they went to the store.
“It’s one of those things you need…but you forget that you need when you make it to the store,” Chris said.
These aren’t the only two people in the home though. Chris and Ami are the parents of a two-year-old.
“To make it a full week without paper towels…and to be okay when there is a toddler in the house? We are blessed,” Ami said.
Experts say anything could have happened that would have led to a disaster.
Cat puke, a spilled coffee, ketchup on the wall, or toddler poop in the bathroom.
“I kept thinking, every time I looked at the empty roll we need to get more. I’ll pick up more on my way home from work. But I forgot,” Chris said.
The parents say they didn’t need them once. They did use a baby wipe once for the table, but that was it.
“He’s in a dry chicken nugget phase. It makes cleaning much easier,” Ami said.
They told FTN they will do their best to avoid this in the future, but admit it may happen again.
