TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A pair of local parents say they are shocked after their three-year-old beat them both in a game, that they didn’t let him win.
It happened on Friday morning.
Three-year-old Alex Essex’s mom, Ami, found the game ‘Raccoon Rumpus’ at the Vigo County Public Library.
The game involves rolling two dice, one with a color and the other with an article of clothing.
According to the box of the game, the idea is to let toddlers learn colors and clothing.
“One of those options was underwear, when you rolled the underwear, you lost all of your progress until that point, and had to start over,” Alex’s dad, Chris said.
Both parents say neither were trying to let him win the game.
“Many times parents will let their kids win, and I get that, I’ve done it… but this time, I kept rolling underwear. I didn’t have a chance,” Ami said.
Parents say the competition came down to Alex and Chris,
“He won fair and square, the rules say they youngest goes first. He won because he went first…we were neck and neck,” Chris said.
After the game, Ami tried to tell Alex that she won, but he quickly corrected her.
