Toddler places stuffed Tigger in time out for hitting his dad

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Vigo County toddler placed a toy Tigger in time-out out for hitting.

It happened on Saturday morning at three-year-old Alex Essex’s home in the southern part of the county.

According to parents, three-year-old Alex Essex placed the Tigger in time-out, and then scolded the stuffed friend for hitting his dad.

“Don’t hit daddy. You are being a bad bad boy, Tigger,” Alex said.

Alex’s dad, Chris, told us he wasn’t hit, by the Tigger or Alex.

“He will sometimes try and blame toys for something he did. Spilling a drink, getting out toys, stuff like that. But when he placed the Tigger in time-out for hitting me, I was very surprised,” Chris told us.

Chris told us the toddler was being less toddler-ish than normal on Saturday morning.

“I’m not sure why he did it, but it was pretty cute. I mean, it sounded like me when I put him in time out,” Chris told us.

The Tigger spent about five minutes in time-out.
