TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Vigo County three-year-old attempted to place his mom in time-out after he accused her of ripping.
It happened on Monday in the southern part of the county.
According the dad, Chris Essex, three-year-old Alex witnessed his mom, Ami open a piece of mail.
“He knows ripping is bad. He used to rip his books, and we’ve kind of…for the most part…cut him of that habit,” Chris said.
After bringing in mail on Monday, Ami attempted to open the letter when the three-year-old allegedly yelled “Bad mommy. Mommy go to time-out. You don’t rip mommy.”
Chris and Ami admit, they were in a sticky situation, but ultimately did their best to show Alex the difference between opening a letter and ripping a book.
“I think he understood. We did take him serious, because he was trying to do the right thing. But yeah, we laughed about it later,” Ami said.
