VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (KNN) – A pair of Terre Haute parents were forced to do a bed time shuffle after their three-year-old son, Alex, broke his car bed.
The break happened on Tuesday when Alex was supposed to take a nap.
“So the bed is in like five parts, and I think he bent something. I couldn’t get it to go back together as secure as I wanted. I didn’t trust it, I don’t want him to get hurt,” Alex’s mom, Ami said.
She set up a makeshift bed her and her husband Chris had in storage, it included a box spring, a mattress, and a toddler mattress on the floor.
“We bought him a new one right away on Amazon…but we had to wait two days for it to be delivered,” Chris said.
His new bed is a Lightning McQueen bed, from the Pixar movie, Cars.
“I’m pretty sure he will love the new bed. Right now, he is calling his makeshift bed his bootleg bed,” Chris laughed.
